
Barbara Fiacco is a Partner, co-chair of the Intellectual
Property Department and co-chair of the Patent, Trade Secrets, and Related
Rights Litigation Practice at Foley Hoag LLP. In her practice, she
handles complex intellectual property and business disputes in the life
sciences industry, involving therapeutic proteins and antibodies, gene therapy
products, small molecule compounds, drug delivery systems, molecular
diagnostics, epigenetic methods, single-cell sequencing technology, and medical
devices. She has successfully litigated patent, trade secret, and
inventorship disputes for global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies,
medical device manufacturers and research institutions. Barbara is a Past
President of the American Intellectual Property Association (AIPLA). She is
recognized as a leading IP lawyer Chambers USA, IAM Patent 1000, and Managing
Intellectual Property’s IP Stars. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and
Harvard Law School.
